I have known Gilda Gazor since we were classmates in law school, and over the years I have also had the opportunity to work with her professionally. As a fellow immigration attorney, I have referred my own clients to Gilda and entrusted her with preparing and accompanying them to USCIS interviews. That experience allows me to recommend her based not simply on our longstanding friendship, but on my firsthand knowledge of how she works with immigration clients.

One of Gilda’s greatest strengths is USCIS interview representation.

Immigration interviews are inherently stressful. Even well-prepared clients can become nervous when they sit across from a USCIS officer, and effective representation requires much more than simply knowing the applicable immigration law. An attorney needs to understand the client, recognize what is making the client anxious, anticipate potential problems, and know how to respond appropriately if something unexpected happens during the interview.

Gilda is exceptionally effective at this.

She approaches immigration interviews from a very human perspective. She listens carefully to her clients, takes their concerns seriously, and prepares them in a way that helps them understand both the process and what will be expected of them. She has an excellent ability to calm nervous clients without minimizing the importance of the interview.

She is also a highly attentive and resourceful advocate. During an interview, she pays close attention to the officer, the questions being asked, and how the interview is developing. She understands that effective advocacy before USCIS is often about judgment—knowing when an attorney should intervene, when clarification is necessary, and when the best approach is simply to allow a well-prepared client to answer.

Most importantly, Gilda genuinely cares about the people she represents. Clients can tell when their attorney is listening to them and when their attorney is personally invested in helping them through what may be one of the most stressful moments of their immigration process. That attentiveness and empathy are among the qualities that make Gilda such an effective advocate.

As an immigration attorney, I am extremely careful about referring my clients to another lawyer. When I make a referral, that lawyer’s work reflects on me as well. I have trusted Gilda with my clients because I know she will prepare them carefully, advocate for them thoughtfully, and treat them with compassion and respect.

For anyone facing a USCIS interview who wants an immigration attorney who combines preparation, judgment, attentive advocacy, and a genuinely human approach to representation, I highly recommend Gilda Gazor.
